Differentiation and adaptation along river gradients Print E-mail

With Wilfredo Matamoros (University of Southern Mississippi), I am studying phenotypic and ecological divergence and local adaptation in a cichlid species (Cryptoheros cutteri) occurring along longitudinal river gradients (from rapidly flowing mountain creeks to sluggish coastal rivers) in Honduras. The longitudinal river gradients are moderate and stretch over larger spatial scales.
